My Basic Little Knitted Doll-Sally
This is “My Basic Little Knitted Doll-Sally PDF pattern.

She is seamlessly knitted “in the round”, the head, arms and legs are knitted out from the body.
The pattern is written for DPNs.
In addition to being comfortable working “in the round” you should know how to knit an I cord and know the following:
SSK, K2tog, KFB, KRL aka increase by knitting in row below, KLL aka increase by knitting in two rows below (view my “Left/Right Increase video” on 5/4/09 post, KLL is Left, KRL is Right). But knowing how to tie a French Knot and sew a duplicate stitch are optional, but easy to do once you get some information.
Sally has tiny thumbs and turned, pointed feet. She’s knitted using smaller sized DPNs and worsted weight yarn to get a dense fabric so that the stuffing doesn’t show. She will range from 9”-11” tall by 2.5”-2.75” wide, depending mostly on the thickness of the different brands of worsted weight yarns.
Pattern includes a chart and instructions for the heart on her chest. Detailed instructions for the embroidered face, and the “ITR” Sun Dress.
Her body size is the same as my other “My Basic Little Knitted Doll” patterns, so if you use the same size DPNs for all they can wear each others garments.
Sally can be the basis for any pigtailed doll character.
By making the following changes to
Sally’s pattern she can become “Mei” from “My Neighbor Totoro:

Give her a “two stitch by one row” Duplicate Stitch cheek blush. (Red Heart Classic 0257 Lt. Peach)
And tie her pig tails with some pink yarn from the dress with two over hand knots decoratively placed on each tie.
