Reading Japanese Knitting Pattern Basics Class
Dates: March 18,2010www.imagiknit.com
You don’t read Japanese and there’s this great pattern you want to make. Don’t give up. All you need to know is the meaning of a few symbols, the logic of the method and have some experience making knitted garments.
It’s a clear and simple system, like a blueprint. It’s like deciphering a secret message with a decoder ring, it’s fun.
Prerequisite skills: Intermediate. See Imagiknit website for class supply list.
Reading Japanese Knitting Pattern – Workshop
Dates: TBA www.imagiknit.com
If you enjoyed my “Reading Japanese Knitting Pattern Basics” class and want extra help understanding your project, take this workshop. This class will be limited to four students.
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of how to read Japanese knitting patterns (learned from me or elsewhere). See Imagiknit website for class supply list.
Knit Amigurumi Class – Dates: TBA www.imagiknit.com
Learn how to make knitted Amigurumi shapes. Once you learn how to knit seamless 3D pieces (knitted sculpture) the possibilities are huge. This is a skills class not a “finished project” class. I’ll teach you how to knit a ball shape, how to do a Turkish Cast On, how to make Japanese short rows and more.
Prerequisite skills: Cast on, knit, purl, bind off and knitting in the round. See Imagiknit website for class supply list.
Crochet Amigurumi Class – Dates: TBA www.imagiknit.com
Create your own creatures for yourself or your favorite little ones. You will learn tips and secrets for making a variety of 3D shapes. You can mix and match these pieces to build your own toys, dolls and objects. Learn the difference between working in a spiral or in the round and how to document your own patterns.
Whether you have made Amigurumi before or not, you will discover many new creative possibilities. This is a skills class, not a finish project class.
Prerequisite skills: chain and single crochet. See Imagiknit website for class supply list.
I’m available to teach individually or to groups if you have a question about your knitting or crochet project and need specific personal help.
